How a wallet loyalty card works
A wallet loyalty card is a pass in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet instead of a paper punch card or a separate app. It can't be left in another coat, and you can update it after every visit. With Easy Loyalty the flow looks like this:
- 01
Scan
A customer scans the QR code at your counter. There is no app to install.
- 02
Confirm & add
They enter their email and a 6-digit code, then tap Add to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The pass sits next to their payment cards.
- 03
Earn at the counter
Staff scan the pass (or type the customer's email and code) to add a stamp or record a purchase. The pass updates in seconds.
- 04
Bring them back
Send lock-screen notifications through the wallet, or let automations nudge people whose reward is ready or who haven't visited in a while.
Stamp card or cashback?
Digital stamp card
One stamp per visit; a full card unlocks a reward such as a free coffee. Easy to explain, and it works best when every visit is worth about the same: coffee shops, bakeries, car washes, classes.
Cashback
A percentage of each purchase is saved to the pass and spent on a later visit. Fairer when ticket sizes vary, as in restaurants, salons, spas and retail. Big spenders earn more automatically.
Easy Loyalty supports both. You choose per location and can switch later.
Tips for a loyalty card people actually use
- Pick strong contrast. The pass is read on a phone at arm's length, often in sunlight. Light text on a dark background (or the reverse) beats two mid-tones.
- Keep the reward concrete and short: "Free coffee" or "Free blow-dry" fits on the pass and is easier to remember than "Loyalty bonus".
- Make the first reward reachable. 8 to 10 stamps is the familiar paper-card range; much more than 12 and people lose interest before the end.
- Use your real logo and brand colour so the pass is recognisable in a stack of wallet cards.
- Put the QR code where people wait: the till, the table tent or the mirror at the salon station. Tell staff to mention it at checkout.
Frequently asked questions
Is this loyalty card maker really free?
Yes. The designer runs entirely in your browser with no signup. Download the card preview and a sample counter poster as PNGs as often as you like. Nothing you type or upload is sent to our servers.
Can I add this card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet straight from the designer?
No. The designer makes a preview image. A real wallet pass has to be signed and issued per customer, which is what Easy Loyalty does once you create an account: customers scan your QR code, confirm their email with a 6-digit code and add the pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. No app needed.
Should I choose a stamp card or cashback?
Stamp cards (for example 10 stamps = a free coffee) work well when every visit is worth about the same and customers already know the paper-card deal. Cashback (a percentage of each purchase saved to the pass) is fairer when ticket sizes vary, as in salons, restaurants or retail. In Easy Loyalty you pick per location and can switch later.
Why does the Google Wallet preview ignore my text colours?
Google Wallet only lets issuers set the background colour and picks the text colour itself for contrast. Apple Wallet lets you set background, value and label colours separately, so the Apple preview uses all three.
How does a digital stamp card update after a purchase?
Staff scan the customer's pass (or type their email and 6-digit code) in the Easy Loyalty dashboard and add a stamp or record the sale. The pass in the customer's wallet updates within seconds, and a full card unlocks the reward to redeem on a later visit.
Is the QR code on the poster real?
No, it is a clearly marked sample so you can check the layout. When you create a program in Easy Loyalty you get your own sign-up QR code to print for the counter.
Ready to put it in your customers' wallets?
Sign up, add your logo and colours, choose stamps or cashback, and print your QR code.
